Hello all in the blog world! I have not done this in so long that I have forgotten peoples blog addresses! I also don't get a chance to sit at a computer very often anymore!! But now I have started back to work part time and have a little more free time on my hands :) SO let me give you a brief update on how the alexander family is doing!
Kyle- he is currently working for a company called select energy services and is doing very well with his job but he does not really like it. His health insurance with the company sucked so I needed to find a PT with health benfits. He is doing well as a father ! he has learned to change poopy diapers because he has no choice... Aubrey decides to poop everytime I leave the house! He is able to get big smiles out of his little girl :)
Katy- I have started working PT at the cancer center at UPMC passavant... it is the hospital I was working at before but now have a flex position as an out patient RD for the cancer center and so far it is great! Plus we have real health insurance again!! I have NOT slept a full night in over 8 months and I am learning how to function on about 4 hours of sleep at a time. Aubrey is not the best of sleepers and kyle sleeps right through it :) and im still nursing her ;)
Beckham- he is going on 40 oh I mean 4... my how big and fast he is growing up! he says the cutiest and funniest things for example the other day he is going pee pee and Im in the bathroom washing my face and he says "momma I have a pointer"... (me no comment) "and daddy has a pointer too" (me- yes your right)... "momma you have a squshy and Aubrey has a squshy too!" (I giggle and he runs out of the bathroom as if we never had that conversation!)
he loves playing the Wii and "messing up the couch" and also loves his baby sister Aubrey soooo very much. He always wants to hold her and touch her and kiss her and hug her. She loves him too! He is in preschool at the daycare that is on site at the hospital and really likes school and has some nice friends (connor, gino, ryan surapa, chelcie, lucy, mike D) He is a good kid, a little hyper all the time but a nice boy! He did have his tonciles and new tubes in his ears in January and he did great with it and we went back to check his hearing and it was great!
Aubrey-- she is almost 8 months old now!! OMG where has this time gone? she is so cute and has two little bottom teeth but... she really likes to be held and she does not sleep well!! I love her dearly but wish she would sleep through the night!!! She was a big steeler fan in her steelers cheerleading outfit during the super bowl and the play offs-- poor steelers wish they could have won the super bowl...
She is not crawling yet but sits well and gets up on all four but no crawling... im ok with this because I am not ready to chace her all over the house :) but it might make her happier! Ill post pictures of her soon!
Madison- she is getting old and has joint issues... she kinda limps when she walks. But she loves the snow and loves the kids so much!
All in all the Alexanders are doing well. Pittsburgh has been treating us good! we are happy and healthy (other than the constant day care cold)!

I quit my job and Aubrey is a big girl :)
Aubrey went to the doctor for her 2 month shots and she was 9#12 oz and 21 1/4 inches long. they say she is growing well!
then I went by my work and told them i would not be coming back after maternity leave. I am scared to death not to have a job but I really think to make this all work that I can not work full time. I am going to look for something part time and have the kids in day care Part time. I will keep you posted on how this goes... as for now I am looking forward to our beach vacation next week to Fort Lauderdale! I will keep you posted on how that goes too!!

nly 5 weeks left then I have to go back to work ;(
So Aubrey is now 7 weeks old! she is eating well and spitting up well!! Beckham still likes her!!!

Happy Birthday USA and Aubrey Lynn Alexander!!
Aubrey Lynn Alexander was born at 10:03 am on July 4th 2010. She was 5 lbs and 12 oz and was 19.5 inches long. My water broke at 2 am and woke me up to say "ut oh... I think my water just broke"... kyle when in the guest bedroom to wake Aunt Naina who was visiting for the weekend and said we are heading to the hospital Katy's water just broke!!
Once at the hospital the Doc confirmed my water broke (by checking and it water landing all over his feet and legs- Doc had to change clothes :) and shoes)
Then they tried to speed/strengthen my contractions. By 9:30 am they had the contractions going every 2 min but they were not getting stronger to dilate me... so they were concerned so the doctor came in and said lets do a c-section... needless to say as soon as I signed a form and said ok to the c-section we were in the operating room to make it happen... then Aubrey arrived at 10:03 am! She came into the world with a great set of lungs. We were in the hospital for 3 days and asked to leave a day early because we were very tired of being in the hospital (very small room and no sleep). Naina stayed all the next week to help out (thanks Naina!) and my dad B-paw came to visit that next weekend (which was already planned so Kyle and him could go to the wide spread panic concert in West Virgina). Then Paw Paw and Gi Gi arrived on July 13th. They worked on getting the house cleaned up... Paw Paw never stopped going... he is the energizer bunny ;) Thanks for all the help. Its week 2 and Aubrey is doing very well. She is nursing every 2-4 hours... I have gotten about 3-4 hours strait of sleep at night :) Yesterday at the doctor she weighed 6 lbs and 2 oz!!
Beckham is very excited about his little sister and says "I think she likes me" and "shes such a little girl" and "its ok Aubrey don't cry" and "mama can I hold her... (mama-not right now)... Mama you need to learn to share Aubrey" :) He took her picture to show and tell on Friday and made sure that every kid in the class looked at the picture of her. He is very proud of his little sis.
Kyle has been offered a new job... we are weighing all the options this weekend to try to decide if it is a good move or not... it would still be in Pittsburgh.
I am on maternity leave until the beginning of October and then I do plan on going back to work full time...
Kyle's dad and Jodie are moving to Pittsburgh at the beginning of August (about 3 miles down the road)

It's only been 3 months since the last post...
Hello all,
I know that I do not have any blog followers but I figure at this point it is more of a document of what is going on in our life to look back at and remember. So I will recap what has been going on for the last few months... if I can even remember :)
Jan-Feb.... were cold and snowy but we made it! we didn't really have any visitors because everyone was afraid of the snow :)
March... Birthday Month! and Kitchen remodel...
it took longer than planned but the kitchen is wonderful and much more us :)
We had visits from Grandma Sondra (and we went to see Nemo On Ice) and Beckham got really sad when he thought nemo died on the ice. Aunt Naina came to visit for Beckham's Birthday and we had cupcakes at his school (children's house) and then went to Chunky Cheese for a Birthday celebration (3). Then that weekend I had some crawfish flown in from NOLA and we had a crawfish boil... it was good and kyle's boss Jeff and his wife Kelly came to the 1st annual Pittsburgh crawfish party. Nana (Judy) came for Easter weekend and we did some Easter eggs and Kyle and I got to go out for a grown up dinner, we went to Ruth's Chris downtown. Also in March we found out we were going to have a little girl! "Aubrey"... oh how beckham already loves Aubrey. He loves to introduce my belly to people and tell them that it is Aubrey and he loves to give her hugs and kisses and put lotion on her. Hopefully he will like her this much when she is really here.
April...whirlwind trip to Memphis and New Orleans!
So dad did it... he got married. So we went to New Orleans for the wedding but went to Memphis first. So we had a flew into Memphis and stayed at Paw Paw and Sherry's. Had lunch with Grandma Sondra then we visited with old friends Ginny, Clay, Mackinsy, Graham, Amanda, Kyle, and Aunt Naina we went to the Memphis Children's museum and then to dinner at Memphis Pizza Cafe. Jackie and her little grandson, pa pa, gi gi, and the lafferty family all went to the musume. It was a short time in Memphis then we rented a car and woke up early Friday Morning and drove to NOLA. As soon as we arrived into town and checkin into the hotel we ran into Aunt Carol and Uncle Noel. So we had lunch. then Kelly Matt and Baby Allie arrived to town. Friday night we all went to Dads condo for a Crawfish boil and met all of Cindy's kids for the first time. Then on Sat we had a big day in the french quarter- walked, ate, NOLA aquarium, swimming at the hotel, and then the wedding. The wedding was very nice at Antoine's restaurant and beckham did a great job as the ring bearer. Congrats to Cindy and dad.
Then the next day we left to drive to Memphis and I started having contractions (only 24 weeks) so needless to say I got nervous called Aunt Kerry and she said she would meet us at Baptist hospital in Memphis. So they got the contractions stooped and let me go but we missed all the food, family party at Judy's. Needless to say by the end of the day I was exhausted and we went to Papa and GiGis and crashed. Left the next day for Pitt and got back to go to doctor and everything was fine. I just like to have contractions. Then I got sick with a stomach bug and ended back in the hospital for dehydration. What a week.
May... Hot in Pittsburgh
this past month has been warm... in the 80s which last summer never broke 80.
We have been doing some house repairs and painting... the house is starting to feel like our home! Pops came to visit and the boys went to see the Pirates vs the cardinals game.
Aunt Kelly and Baby Allie came to visit and we decorated Aubrey's room and hung some pictures in the house. Memorial day weekend was not quite what we are used too (no pool) but we did have a great weekend. We went to our first Kiddo Bday party. Connor a kid from beckhams class celebrated his 3rd bday and we went to his party then we made friends with the girl who used to live in our house so that night we went over to their house for dinner and play in their yard. They have two kids Grant (5) and Isabella (2) who Beckham really enjoyed playing with. The next day they all came over along with our other neighbors Joe and Janie and we had BBQ and fireworks!
Beckham is now three and doing well. He is getting so smart but at the same time he has too much energy and not sure with what to do with it. I went to his Parent/Teacher conference and they said he was very smart... the only kid in class who could spell his name and who knew his left and right. He still does not really want to do the Potty thing... we are working on it... good with pee pee but does not want to poo poo in the potty... I think it is a control thing. His favorite band is foo fighters and he knows when they come on the radio and he starts dancing right away.
He is moving up to preschool Mid June and seems to be really excited about it!
Kyle is working hard and has really done a good job up here. He has learned the water side of the natural gas drilling. I am proud of him! He definitely has alot more stress now so we are going to have to work on that one :)
Madison is a good dog! She puts up with a lot from beckham :) she has now developed a fear of thunderstorms so we might have to get her on some doggy meds to calm her down.
Me... well I am now 31 weeks prego and still working so I guess I am doing better than when I was pregnant with beckham. I waddle and have to get weekly shots that hurt and itch... but in the end I know it is worth it. I am ready for her to come but I know it is best for her to stay put for a few more weeks :) At least my feet really haven't started to swell yet. Not really sure what our plan will be once she does decide to come... hopefully we will have some help around here but if not I guess we will make it. I have already informed kyle that his work phone will be turned off for a few days :) Planning on going back to work after Aubrey is born (12 weeks leave). I have mixed feelings about it but we decided at least until summer then we will reevaluate it. Pittsburgh is starting to feel more like home. We really do like it here but sometimes it is hard not having friends or family. We are starting to make some friends so that is good... not sure it will ever be the same but i guess that's ok :) Anyway- going to go fix Beckham some more Breakfast.

Beckham is going to be a BIG brother!
It's a GIRL!
We found out today that Beckham is going to get a little sister!! We went for an ultrasound and everything looks good. They did scare us a little this morning by continuing to take pictures of the heart but they say everything is ok!
Other than this big news... so far we have survived the first winter in Pittsburgh!! Only a record of snow with so far about 80 inches of snow this year!! And now its March and Birthday month has arrived. Beckham is very excited about his Birthday and turning 3 this year.
Anyway will try to be better about the blog and post more...

Merry Christmas!
We are very blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!
Santa came and visited Beckham and he is very happy playing with his new toys.
Grandpa P-Paw left this morning and Grandma Sondra is on her way into town and Aunt Naina is visiting through the weekend... good to have them come to visit!
